The Brussels Chess Club site announced closed round-robin FIDE tournaments of eight players for the spring of 2026, open to pre-registration and played on Mondays alongside its spring open from 20 April to 22 June 2026, and names the Elite, Experts and Connaisseurs sections; it ran the same formula in spring 2025, from 24 March to 16 June 2025. The FIDE list carries a "Brussels Spring Competition" from 24 March 2025 and again in 2026, including an extra round dated 29 May 2026; the FIDE records do not say whether these are the closed sections or the open.
