Friday is the busiest club evening on the edges of the region. The Belgian Chess Club at De Rinck in Anderlecht gives an hour of beginners' lessons and then plays its long Friday opens, with a rated blitz on the last Friday of most months. Schaakclub Richard Réti, a club with a Dutch-language site, meets at 19:30 at 't Hiembeeks Kotteer in Neder-Over-Heembeek, in the north of the City of Brussels.
Outside the region, the Dworp club plays from 20:00 at 't Oud Kasteel in Halle and says guests are welcome, and Braine Échecs runs courses and play at the Athénée Royal in Braine-l'Alleud from late afternoon into the night.
